I am a professor at USC in the School of Medicine and a Cancer Epidemiologist. My husband and I moved to South LA a few years ago and quickly became engaged in the Voices Neighborhood Council. I hope to bridge my formal academic and professional training in research, grant writing, and advocacy to empower residents and to be a voice at the table for those that aren't always heard. I encourage everyone to be as engaged as you can by joining a VoiceNC committee or by simply attending the regular board meetings to express your concerns. Please visit our website regularly to learn about the wonderful things that we are doing. I am easily accessible by email if you would like more information ([email protected]). I am proud to call South LA home and I look forward to serving the community in my current role.
Hobbies and Interests: Running, yoga, cooking/baking, and home improvement shows.
